Moon Knight
He said what "reality" really meant and would most likely hide a darker third person in it: Jake Lockley. It's all in Moon Knight comics.
I thought that being completely unaware of Marc Spector's story as someone commissioned to watch these episodes would really pay dividends. Wouldn't that make the show more interesting? Strange? Wilder?
I looked at the comments from time to time and saw that others weren't so surprised by the first four episodes, they wanted Moon Knight to be as excited as they were. Basically, I was still surprised and glad that he got his show, given how complex the Moonie-K character is.
Finally, I had to come to terms with the fact that this series could not tell me a completely new tale full of mystery, just a story reconstructed to present the Moon Knight concept for MCU. interesting Marvel fans. How it should be! I was never valuable about the Moon Knight, I just wanted to know less about him.
As a result, the parts that are new or re-imagined here were the ones that interested me the most. A new idea about Arthur Harrow. Layla El-Faouly, as an unrecognized version of Marlene Alraune.
A reworked Marc Spector story. Stephen Grant's confusing English and Mark's relationship.
Accept MCU as a villain. Focusing more on these aspects, Moon Knight presented a solid finale in "Gods and Monsters" full of unexpected scenes.
Went to the sixth episode waiting to see a full kaiju fight between Ammit and Khonshu? No. Did I expect Leyla to be Taweret's avatar?
No. Did I expect to see Harrow in a psychiatric hospital in the post-credit scene? No. Did I expect Uber to see the violent Jake collaborating with Khonshu all the time? No.
Did I expect to see a Moon Knight limousine complete with a personalized SPKTR license plate? Uhhh, not necessarily. But when I saw all this, I was happy and surprised!
Moon Knight Problems
Moon Knight had its own problems as a whole. Tonally contradictory, CG was very suspicious at best, and tried to squeeze in too many stories in six episodes.
It was a hot mess, but at least it gave us something really interesting to feast on every week, and there were some beautiful scenes in this finale. It was a joy to see Khonshu and Ammit face to face, and I was a little happy when Layla rejected Khonshu. Layla's Taweret costume was also beautiful. I received very heavy Wonder Woman 1984 vibrations from its bulletproof gold wings, but I will allow it
Mark and Stephen now imagine that they are "free" from Honshu, what awaits Moon Knight in the future? Well, he could have been as secretive as he was in the first three rounds of MCU, revenge on Jake Lockley as Honshu's avatar, but I'd like to see what happens when Mark and Stephen realize they've missed it. time and for them, what does it mean not to discover that Jake is now part of them. I liked that the last moments of the series doubled how dangerous Marc Spector really was; This did not allow us to continue without confirming how wild the character was.
As far as we know, Marvel Studios doesn't have the 2nd season of Moon Knight, but on the way there is a new Blade and Werewolf By Night (there are rumors that Elsa will present Bloodstone to MCU), Daredevil has a restart it's reportedly getting ready for Disney +, Doctor Strange is getting acquainted with the world of madness, Agatha Harkness is getting her spin-off, and Dane Whitman is about to catch the Black Knight Ebony Blade, I would say there is definitely room for
Moon Knight to return to the screen. it is in the darker Phase 4. The unique horrors offered by Marvel Comics are just beginning to unfold.
