Alice in Borderland Season 2

Episode 2 No Recap

Episode 2 of Alice in Borderland Season 2 begins with Kyuma, the King of Clubs, admitting that they came up with the idea for this game. A game called Osmosis. The rules are simple. There are 2 hours and both teams must score points. Starting at 10,000 each, these points are split between the teams. However, some may choose to earn more points than others. Distribution of these points is critical to winning.

There are three ways to earn points. Collect item boxes dotted around the battlefield, touch an opposing player's base (scoring a cool 10,000 points in the process), or battle another player. The battle is done by touching the hands of different contestants, and then the highest scorer gets 500, while the other withdraws the same amount. Neither knows what the other's points are before the fight. The two mains basically work like a modified version of Capture The Flag. It's a game with countless different ways to score points and even more dangers. One of the biggest dangers comes from ground rules.

When a member of your own team hits the post, it results in Infinity points, allowing them to take 10,000 points from the opposing player and knocking them out of the game. In other words, kill them.

Our group decides to give the least points to the fastest runners. Slower runners will gain more. The guard at the base will be the least (that of Tatta). They also decide to pair up with Usagi and Niragi, along with Kuina and Arisu. The latter decides to go for the items. After collecting the first one, Kyuma approaches them, deciding that they should fight. He lets go of Kuina's hand and decides to face her one on one. Only, it turns out that everyone has equal points.

As a result, the group is able to work together and gain enough points to achieve healthy leadership. When they return to their base, Niragu starts coughing up blood.

However, they are not prepared for Kyuma's best as the entire team descends on their base from all directions. They do this when Tatta is alone and they are all loaded on the pole. Unfortunately, as 3 of the 4 hit the pole at the base, one - Shitara - is tagged and killed.

As Arisu gathers the troops and decides they should split up and find the items, the group makes it back to their base. However, Kyuuga already has this idea. Given that everyone is separate, the group separates them easily.

The King of Clubs team took a significant lead and believed that Arisu would not have the courage to attack their base - and they were right. After tagging Arisu and scoring 500 points, Kyuma encourages her to be a little braver and do what she has to do, considering it's a game of life and death.

Now that Arisu is inactive, he has an idea to change the situation. He decides that they should all attack the base together. He decides to overcome the fear and Niragi agrees. They all want to win and decide to attack the base at the same time. Except for Tatta, he has to stay back and protect his base.

Usagi distracts Goke, who used to be a crazy parkour boy, leading him away from the base. Kuina, Arisu and Niragi come from different angles. Niragu, Arisu and Kuina suddenly charge in, Kyuma's bandits touch their base. Arisu stays still and touches Kyuma knocking him back while Niragu does the same. Kuina fails to touch base and the plan goes awry. Have they failed...or have they? Usagi finds an item and bets them 500 points to win, but with the entire team stuck in their base and seemingly no way out, Arisu begins to lose confidence.

Niragini's true colors come out just 10 minutes before he leaves, and he decides to go to Usagi alone, intending to sexually abuse her. As for the rest, less than 10 minutes to go and things are looking incredibly bleak.

Episode Review

Your true character comes out under extreme stress, and this is especially true here. We've seen a fair amount of it in previous episodes of Alice in the Borderland, but it's especially prevalent here. After Niragi coughs up blood and feels the end approaching, he blacks out and becomes twisted.

As for the game itself, it's a fairly basic version of Capture The Flag, but the way these rules are turned into a life-or-death game is beautifully crafted, with all those shipping containers in the harbor feeling both eerie and downright similar. aliens, they are laid out like a video game. With so little time left to try to come up with a plan, will Arisu and the others be able to survive this?
