Aadi latest release is 'Crazy fellow' which hits the screens today. Let's see how it is.

  Story

Nani (Aadi Saikumar) is a happy-go-lucky young man who joins a dating app and catches the eye of a girl named Chinni (Digangana Suryavanshi) without seeing him. He gets closer to her and even Chinni falls in love with her. When the couple decides to meet each other, Nani surprises and proposes love to Chinni (Myrnaa Menon). Why did Nani suddenly change his plans? What happened to Chinny? Who did Nani marry in the end? Does this form the rest of the story?

  Extra Points

Compared to Aadi's recent duds, Crazy Fellow is much better. Aadi transforms in this movie and looks quite cute. Her new haircut and youthful look suits her very well. Generally, he is more hyper with his performances, but he gave a determined performance here and did quite well in the film.

Digangana Suryavanshi plays a meaty role and performs well in all the emotional scenes. The film has a very good supporting cast and they perform brilliantly. Anish Kuruvilla plays the hero's brother and he was decent. Mirnaa Menon was good as the second lead.

Crazy Fellow has two main characters in the form of Tamil actor Vinodini and Narra Sreenu. They are the best part and work well. All the scenes between Narra Sreenu and heroine Aadi are quite fun to watch on screen. Dadli Teja was neat in her small role too.

One of the best parts of the movie is the comedy which keeps the movie light. The main tension and love triangle are executed quite well.

  Negative points:

The movie has a very predictable storyline and some repetitive scenes in the first half. The way the character is introduced seems a bit over the top.

Also, when it comes to romance, emotions should be stronger. The second hero and how he falls in love with the hero seems rushed. A more subtle story by the director would have made the love story more effective.

The first half is a bit slow and only makes sense during the break.

  Technical Aspects:

The music of the movie is quite good and RR Dhruvan has done a good job. The production values are pretty good too.

As for director Phani Krishna, he has done a decent job with the film. His narration is light hearted and he has handled his characters well and made the movie passable enough to watch.

Verdict

Overall, Crazy Fellow is a light hearted love triangle with good comedy and good performances. The movie starts on a slow note and has predictable scenes. But compared to Aadi's previous films, Crazy Fellow is better and one can give a chance for its transient story.
