The wait is finally over as the much awaited teaser of Prabhas' Saaho is finally here.
The teaser opens with Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas and then the visuals take you into flashback mode. The action sequences are immediately brought to the fore and the premise is huge. The main characters in the film are shown at a glance and all the attention is focused on the magnitude of the project. The visuals are full of bikes, gadgets, cars and helicopters that show how big the movie is going to be.
The teaser ends with a very cute and funny dialogue between Prabhas and Shraddha which looks great. Not much is revealed about the plot in the teaser and it can be understood that Prabhas is always on the run from cops and bad guys. The scene is set for a perfect entertainment and more will be revealed in the trailer.
Extra Points
Prabhas' presence on screen in the teaser is a treat for fans. The star hero looks massive and dashing in all the bike riding scenes. Many wondered what Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's chemistry would look like. But the superstars look great with each other and it's good to see them on screen.
The crazy visuals shown in the teaser are simply mind-blowing and something truly new for Telugu cinema. Action scenes have taken to another level with Saaho. Thankfully, Shraddha Kapoor gets more screen presence in the teaser and she is excellent as the cop. The way the film is shot in an international setting is also amazing.
Negative Points
The teaser is less packed with action sequence visuals and Prabhas' style part. There are some scenes that are canned from a year ago and the camera work here is boring.
The film boasts of a star cast including Neil Nithin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Evelyn Sharma and Mandira Bedi, but they are barely visible in the teaser. The villainous gang isn't well built and doesn't create much impact in that department.
The background comes before your eyes in several scenes and the way it is achieved is top notch. The makers have spent crazy money and it's all on display in the film's spectacular production values.
The camera work is decent and showcases the exteriors wonderfully. The way the teaser was cut and edited should also be mentioned. Since the film is released in multiple languages, the makers have kept the theme universal and it seems fitting.
Young director Sujeeth definitely impressed with the teaser and his cast and action scenes are clearly visible.
All in all, Saaho teaser is definitely a first for Tollywood. Certainly, the scale, production value and heroism have gone to another level. Prabahs screen presence, BGM and action thrills are simply amazing. Although there is no clue about the concept and story of the film, the teaser has certainly lived up to all the hype these days and made the anticipation of the film even better and bigger.
